About the role
The Education Programs are a Special Work of the Society of St Vincent de Paul Victoria. The purpose of these programs is to support young people in developing social, emotional, and academic confidence. Through participation in structured activities conducted outside of school hours, students are provided with a safe and supportive environment where they can build skills, form positive relationships, and enhance their learning. As the Education Coordinator, you will oversee and facilitate both the Noble Park and Dandenong Education Programs. The Noble Park Education Program provides homework assistance and literacy support, focusing on improving reading skills, to Grade 1 to 6 students from St Anthony’s Primary School. The Dandenong Education Program serves children from Grade 2 to 12 in the Greater Dandenong area, offering homework support and helping to develop general literacy and numeracy skills. Your responsibilities will include managing program facilitation, reporting, administration tasks, as well as recruiting and supporting volunteers. You will also handle student enrolment, maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, track and report weekly statistics, and ensure accurate record-keeping. Additionally, you will contribute to the sustainability and growth of the programs. Throughout the year, you will provide general support to the Youth and Education team as needed.
