About St Vincent de Paul Society

For more than 170 years we have been providing practical and compassionate support to people across Victoria whose daily struggles can include putting food on the table, paying essential utilities and ensuring their children remain at school to obtain an education.

Our organisation provides many services and programs, including soup vans, education programs, home visitation programs and VincentCare Victoria (VCV), which assist some of Victoria’s most vulnerable communities, such as people experiencing homelessness, the housing crisis and family violence, and the elderly.

 

Little bit about the role

This is a 8-month Maximum Term role for 0.8FTE working as part of the Human Capital Management System project team. The Change Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful implementation of our Human Capital Management System (HCMS) project. This role involves managing the people side of change, including changes to business processes, systems and technology.

The Change Manager will work as part of the HCMS project team to complete the integrate change management activities into the overall project plan and ensure effective adoption of tools, processes and business readiness. This project will be deploying to both our Staff and Volunteers, therefore being able to adapt change approach to cater for different stakeholder groups including volunteers to adopt and use technology will be a critical component of this role.

The Change Manager will be responsible for building the overall maturity of change management practices within project delivery and the organisation including supporting and mentoring our staff and volunteers by using change frameworks and tools

 

About you

You are a confident change professional who knows how to bring people along the journey. With strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, you have experience delivering change for digital or HR system implementations and understand how to translate strategy into practical action.

You are collaborative, adaptable and solutions-focused, able to manage competing priorities while working closely with leaders, staff and volunteers. Experience with change management frameworks or certification (Prosci, CCMP or similar) is highly regarded, as is exposure to HR systems such as Dayforce or the not-for-profit sector.

 

Your responsibilities

You will lead and deliver change management activities that support successful implementation and adoption of organisational initiatives. This includes conducting change impact assessments, developing change and communication plans, engaging stakeholders and supporting training and readiness for go-live.

You will identify risks and resistance points, guide leaders and teams through change and track adoption and benefits realisation. You will also capture lessons learned and contribute to building strong change capability and a culture of continuous improvement across the organisation.
