About St Vincent de Paul Society

For more than 170 years we have been providing practical and compassionate support to people across Victoria whose daily struggles can include putting food on the table, paying essential utilities and ensuring their children remain at school to obtain an education.

Our organisation provides many services and programs, including soup vans, education programs, home visitation programs and VincentCare Victoria (VCV), which assist some of Victoria’s most vulnerable communities, such as people experiencing homelessness, the housing crisis and family violence, and the elderly.

Little bit about the role

This is a 12-month fixed-term role, with the potential for extension, reporting to the Technical Delivery Lead. The HCM Integration Analyst will play a critical role in designing, building, and maintaining integrations between Dayforce and all upstream and downstream systems while also contributing to broader integration initiatives across the organisation.

This role will:

  • Contribute to, analyse and manage the integration design for Dayforce HCMS, ensuring seamless data exchange between HR, payroll, finance, and other business systems.
  • Advise on best practices for integration approaches, including API vs. flat-file solutions, based on system capabilities and business needs.
  • Effective integration performance and error management, implementing proactive monitoring and BAU support processes.
  • Contribute to and execute the System Integration Testing (SIT) strategy for the Dayforce HCM project.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve integration defects, conducting root cause analysis and working with internal teams and vendors as needed.
  • Build and configure integrations in Azure, leveraging relevant modules and functions to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data while ensuring complex mapping rules are applied.
  • Establish reusable integration processes, adopting Hub-and-Spoke/Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) approaches where required to support scalable and efficient integration solutions.
  • Set up and manage out-of-the-box software connectors to facilitate efficient data exchange between Dayforce and other systems.
  • Support broader integration initiatives, working across cloud, SaaS, and on-premise environments to ensure best-practice data flow and architecture.

Experience with HCM integrations (such as Dayforce, Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM, etc.) is highly valued, with Dayforce-specific experience preferred. The ideal candidate will also have experience integrating with custom-built, internally managed applications with limited API maturity, and must have strong experience working with RESTful APIs.

As the organisation undergoes significant system transformation, this role will be key in ensuring seamless, reliable, and well-governed integrations that support operational efficiency and compliance.

Your responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and manage integrations for the Dayforce HCM system, ensuring smooth data exchange across HR, payroll, finance, and IT.
  • Gather, document, and validate integration requirements from key business areas.
  • Build and maintain Azure-based integrations using Logic Apps, API Management, Functions, Data Factory, and Service Bus.
  • Ensure all integrations are secure, scalable, and compliant with IT policies.
  • Develop and implement ETL processes, data mapping, and error-handling frameworks.
  • Support testing (SIT phase), including test case development, execution, and defect resolution.
  • Monitor and validate data accuracy; resolve integration and data issues.
  • Create automated monitoring and reporting tools for integration performance.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, external vendors, and the System Architect to align with broader IT strategies.
  • Provide technical advice and integration best practices to stakeholders.
  • Continuously optimise and improve integrations for performance and efficiency.
  • Stay updated on HCM integration trends, technology, and compliance requirements.
