About St Vincent de Paul Society
For more than 170 years we have been providing practical and compassionate support to people across Victoria whose daily struggles can include putting food on the table, paying essential utilities and ensuring their children remain at school to obtain an education.
Our organisation provides many services and programs, including soup vans, education programs, home visitation programs and VincentCare Victoria (VCV), which assist some of Victoria’s most vulnerable communities, such as people experiencing homelessness, the housing crisis and family violence, and the elderly.
Little bit about the role
In this dynamic and strategic position, you’ll play a key role in managing leasing operations, site acquisitions, fleet management and lease compliance for St Vincent de Paul Society. Your work will directly support the organisation’s retail growth, mission-led services and operational effectiveness. You’ll also contribute to a positive and values-driven culture, ensuring all activities align with the Society’s ethos and commitment to serving the community.
Your responsibilities
-
Strategic Leasing & Site Acquisition: Lead the development and execution of leasing strategies for the Society’s diverse property portfolio, including retail shops, office sites, warehouse/distribution centres and operational facilities. This includes identifying and assessing potential sites, conducting market and competitor analysis, negotiating lease terms and providing strategic recommendations to support the property needs of St Vincent de Paul Society, VincentCare Victoria and VincentCare Community Housing.
-
Lease Administration & Compliance: Maintain accurate lease documentation, ensure compliance with lease terms and legislation, manage critical dates and contracts and oversee utilities and financial aspects of lease agreements.
-
Financial Management & Reporting: Assist with forecasting, perform cost-benefit analyses for new leases and generate regular reports on market trends, leasing activities and budget performance.
-
Fleet Management: Oversee day-to-day fleet operations with external providers, ensure vehicle compliance, manage maintenance and service schedules and provide reporting and forecasting for fleet needs.
-
Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with landlords, agents, consultants and internal departments; represent SVDP in negotiations; and provide expert property leasing advice.
About you
You’re a proactive and detail-oriented professional with a strong background in property leasing, administration and stakeholder management. You bring excellent negotiation skills, sound financial acumen and the ability to interpret and manage complex lease documentation. Your commitment to continuous improvement, service delivery excellence, and values-led decision-making ensures you thrive in a mission-driven environment. You understand and respect the Catholic values of the St Vincent de Paul Society and are dedicated to fostering a collaborative and positive workplace culture.
