About the Role
The ICT Retail Business Partner serves as the primary liaison between the ICT department and the retail division, ensuring seamless integration and support of technology solutions across all retail operations. This role is crucial for driving retail technology initiatives, providing expert support and acting as the escalation point for all retail ICT-related issues. The partner will be responsible for the successful rollout of ETPOS, retail computers and other critical systems, while also providing ongoing on-site support and strategic guidance to retail locations. A company vehicle will be provided to facilitate regular travel to retail sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Align ICT solutions with retail business needs and lead tech rollouts.
- Provide on-site support for POS systems, networks, and retail tech.
- Train retail staff and assist with store openings/closures.
- Manage vendor relationships and recommend new solutions.
- Oversee issue resolution and enhance ICT processes.
- Support E-Commerce and retail platforms (Omnivore, Shoplifty).
About You
You have excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong interpersonal abilities that enable you to build positive relationships with stakeholders. Your ability to prioritise and manage competing demands, combined with well-developed time management skills, allows you to meet tight deadlines effectively. You liaise professionally with staff and external suppliers, demonstrating a respectful and professional approach in all interactions. With a strong and flexible work ethic, you thrive in dynamic environments and adapt seamlessly to changing priorities.
More specifically you will have:
- Proven experience in providing ICT support, with a strong focus on retail technology.
- Strong understanding of POS systems, network infrastructure, and retail technology solutions.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with retail stakeholders.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to retail locations regularly.
- Experience with Retail computer/POS rollout.
- Experience dealing with vendors.
