The Role:

Vinnies Victoria is currently looking for a talented Duty Manager to join our vibrant team at our Sebastopol Shop. In this role, you will lead a team of staff and volunteers who are just as passionate about giving back to their communities as you are.

A hive of activity, this shop is offering a unique opportunity for a retail superstar to take on their next leadership opportunity. 

Key accountabilities include:

  • Leading our volunteer team to deliver a memorable experience with our customers
  • Striving for, meeting and beating sales targets
  • Training and supporting our dedicated team of volunteers

 

 

About Vinnies:

We are the St Vincent de Paul Society Victoria or, more fondly, Vinnies Victoria. For more than 165 years we have been providing practical and compassionate support to people across Victoria whose daily struggles can include putting food on the table, paying essential utilities and ensuring their children remain at school to obtain an education.

 

Under our Good Works umbrella we have many services and programs, including soup vans, education programs, home visitation programs and VincentCare Victoria (VCV), which assists some of Victoria’s most vulnerable communities, such as people experiencing homelessness, the housing crisis and family violence, and the elderly. VCV also provides employment to people living with disability.

 

About You:

Retail to you is second nature and if you can channel your extensive experience into directly contributing to the community.

More specifically you will have:

  • A real passion for delivering incredible customer service
  • Retail management experience with a real focus on people
  • Proven retail sales experience with a drive to beat sales targets
  • Excellent communication skills
