Overall, St Vincent de Paul Society Victoria has many arms and services. These include soup vans, education programs, home visitation programs and VincentCare Victoria, which provides a range of services and programs for people who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness and disadvantage. This includes crisis accommodation, drug and alcohol dependency programs, and housing.

It’s an exciting time to join the organisation as we have recently launched a new strategic plan that is future oriented and full of exciting initiatives. The IT Transformation team will play a pivotal role in delivering on strategic projects and helping the organisation to achieve operational excellence.

 

A little about the Role

As a Business Analyst at St Vincent de Paul Society, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the successful delivery and implementation of new technology solutions and services that align with our business strategy. You'll work closely with stakeholders across the organization, facilitating workshops, developing user stories, and creating customer journey maps that truly address pain points and enhance service delivery. Your expertise in business analysis and human-centred design will be key in driving the development of impactful solutions.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Analysis: Conduct as-is and to-be business process mapping, document business requirements, and support the identification of innovative solutions. You'll be integral in translating business needs into actionable solutions, maintaining business process maps, and conducting feasibility studies for change initiatives.
  • Change Management: Build collaborative relationships across the organization, support change management initiatives, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Project Delivery: Be a core member of our Strategic Project Delivery team, ensuring projects are aligned with business objectives. You'll support project lifecycle activities, including vendor selection, requirements collection, and documentation.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, analyse feedback, and provide actionable recommendations that drive service improvements.

 

A little bit about you

You are currently working in a similar role and have experience in business and digital analysis. You are known for being responsive, approachable, and service oriented, you will confidently build connections with your key stakeholders and create positive working relationships.

You will be highly organized, detail orientated and driven by a commitment to delivering exceptional results. You will bring a "hand on" approach and be a proactive operator who thrives on developing relationships to achieve high stakeholder engagement.

 

More specifically you will have:
•    Bachelor's degree in ICT, Business, Statistics, Economics, or a related field.
•    OR 3+ years of experience in business & digital analysis for medium to large organizations.
•    Expertise in mapping business requirements and processes to product functionality.
•    Proficiency in human-centred design processes and methodologies.
•    Strong knowledge of software development processes and lifecycle.
•    Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
•    Proven ability to lead workshops and present to diverse audiences.
•    Advanced problem-solving and time management skills.
