St Vincent de Paul Society Victoria (Vinnies Victoria) provides assistance to people across Victoria whose daily struggles can include putting food on the table, paying essential utilities and ensuring their children remain at school to obtain an education.
This assistance aims to cover the basics, to take the pressure off, for things like food, petrol, education, utility bills, medical expenses, and more. The support model is designed to give people a compassionate hand up, with human connection, in times of crisis.
Our services include: soup vans, education programs, home visitation and retail shops. VincentCare, our subsidiary, provides a range of services and programs for people who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness and disadvantage, such as crisis accommodation, drug and alcohol dependency programs, and work and training opportunities for people living with a disability.
Our network of 110 Vinnies Shops across the state also play a key part in funding our many programs and services and providing material assistance to people we help.
This is an excellent opportunity to join Vinnies Victoria and comes at an exciting time! The recent reengagement of subsidiary the VincentCare Group means Vinnies Victoria are now able to do even more brilliant things in the community. With change comes opportunity and this one is vitally important for us to bring our recruitment services together as one by ensuring an efficient and robust recruitment process is in place. Based at our Box Hill Central Office, but split between home, you will promote and drive an innovative recruitment process and ensure the ongoing development of people managers throughout all our Victorian facilities. With a strong customer focus, you will partner with stakeholders to identify current and anticipated people needs, and will effectively deliver the full recruitment life cycle for staff and volunteer roles. This includes, but is not limited to, sourcing, screening, interviewing and on-boarding qualified candidates based on Society needs and requests. This position will provide the successful candidate the opportunity to learn, grow, and develop their HR knowledge within a supportive team environment.
You will have recently completed your degree in Human Resources or a related field, and are looking to develop or expand on your practical experience in delivering end-to-end recruitment services. You enjoy working autonomously and as a part of a cohesive team unit and understand the learning opportunity this dynamic provides. You understand that being successful in life requires people skills, dedication, self reflection and you are open to the fact that you may not know everything just yet. With a strong customer service orientation you are justifiably proud of your responsive, approachable and solutions-focused nature and will utilise these attributes to ensure your success.
